Discovering Busan

Hello Steemians! After a few days of hiatus, I'm finally back! Today my post will be a continuation of the journey in South Korea.

Busan actually was a separate trip I've made independent from Seoul. Compared to Seoul, Busan is more laid back and chill. There's not that's happening there, but that's exactly why Busan is charismatic in its own sense.

Busan is strategically located next to the ocean at the southern tip of the Korean peninsular. Naturally, seafood is a delicacy there. Imagine tasty but economical seafood by the sea, freshly delivered to your table. Now that's Busan we're talking about!

Then you have the famous Haeundae beach. It's a popular spot in the summer when temperatures are high enough for swimming and sunbathing. Otherwise, head inwards to one of the main streets and just sit by at one of the cafés to watch the world go by.

Head back downtown for a savory night out. You can never get tired of seafood in this city because it's so cheap and abundant in supply. The amount of food is generous and good for sharing amongst friends. Besides seafood, you can also hunt for Korean barbeque (samgyeopsal) or traditional Korean gourmet as well.

Another must-go spot is the Gamcheon hillside village just off in the suburbs of Busan. It's a good ride from the city center but it's definitely worth it. Come on sunny days and you can get a generous panorama of the Busan suburbs. However, be prepared to fight for a spot for photographs with the crowd that's always here during peak vacation seasons.
