Why keep switching to a centralized social network that will sell out when you can choose to a decentralized one

here are your awesome choices ❤
Here are the decentralized Alternatives:
Centralized (C) VS Decentralized (D)

C 🙁 - Youtube
D 🙂 - LBRY/Odysee https://odysee.com/
D 🙂 - Peertube
D 🙂 - Dtube
C 🙁 - Instagram
D 🙂 - KARMA https://karmaapp.io/
C 🙁 - Facebook
D 🙂 - Minds https://www.minds.com/
D 🙂 - Diaspora https://diasporafoundation.org/
(Open Source, Blockchain)
C 🙁 - WhatsApp OR Messenger
D 🙂 - Element https://element.io/
D 🙂 - Signal
C 🙁 - GMAIL
D 🙂 - Tutanota https://tutanota.com/
C 🙁 - MEDIUM (Publishing Service)
D 🙂 - VOICE https://www.voice.com/
C 🙁 - TELEGRAM
D 🙂 - ELEMENT https://app.element.io/
OTHER OPTIONS which are centrally controlled but profess to but respect your privacy and free speech (Not the best way to go for the Future, as they can sell out being centrally controlled)
NOT THE BEST ALTERNATIVES which are semi alternatives
MeWe: 🙂 - Best functional Alternative to Facebook but Still Centrally Controlled, but read the backstory (it may still be a good option)

Bad Alternatives: 🙁 TELEGRAM 🙁 (Centrally Controlled)

It's a good choice to get away from a central, authoritative location or group.

Sort:

While I like many of the applications on that list, not all of them are actually decentralized. I haven't checked all of them but the following for example are not.

  • Signal
  • Tutanota
  • Dtube

They are still great applications but not decentralized. They are still run by a central entity and not everyone can simply run their own instance, like with peertube or mastodon for example.
