Censorship of Alex Jones won’t stop with Alex Jones: Natural medicine, cannabis and health freedom channels are already being blacklisted
(Natural News) The founder and president of a major media watchdog group says that the recent purging of Alex Jones and _InfoWars_from the social media gamut is far worse than just a “slippery slope” towards authoritarian censorship and the silencing of all voices that dare to speak out against the status quo.
In a recent statement picked up by Breitbart.com, Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center declared the move a “dangerous cliff,” emphasizing that YouTube, Apple, Facebook, Spotify, and many others have been co-opted into capitulating to the fascistic demands of fake news outlets like CNN.
Even though he doesn’t personally support Alex Jones, nor does he believe him to be a true conservative, Bozell says that it’s absolutely wrong for distributors of online content to blanket-ban him from their platforms. These flagrant censorship tactics, he says, highlight a “disturbing trend” towards totalitarianism and the complete elimination of free speech.
“Social media sites are supposedly neutral platforms, but they are increasingly becoming opportunities for the left and major media to censor any content that they don’t like,” Bozell says, noting that people who oppose murdering unborn babies, support the Second Amendment, or otherwise reject the liberal agenda are increasingly being “shadow banned” from social media.
“Conservatives are increasingly concerned that InfoWars is not the end point for those who want to ban speech. It’s just the beginning. We are rapidly approaching a point where censorship and opposing voices is the norm. That’s dangerous.”

In trying to explain the rationale behind the removal of Jones from their platforms, the social media cabal is claiming that his content contained “dehumanizing language,” and often targeted “people who are transgender, Muslims, and immigrants, which violates our hate speech policies.”
But this allegation hardly holds water, seeing as how all sorts of leftist hate speech that targets white people, Christians, and conservatives continues to pollute the social media world unabated. It’s a hypocritical double standard that gives the Left a free pass to spew as much hatred and vitriol as it wants in the name of “free speech,” while condemning all conservative viewpoints as “hate speech.”
The Left has even redefined the English language to fit its contorted agenda, claiming that right-wing beliefs and speech represent “harassment” or even “assault.” By reclassifying everything that upsets liberals as “violence,” for instance, the Left is trying to implement an Orwellian police state in which only leftist-approved viewpoints are allowed.
None of it is constitutional, of course. Depriving non-liberal voices from engaging in free speech is an absolute violation of the Bill of Rights, as it completely sidesteps due process. In this leftist paradigm, independent voices like Alex Jones who are falsely accused of “hate speech” are afforded no legal remedies with which to defend themselves as they’re forcibly silenced by the thought police.
“You’re banned without explanation … you cannot face your accusers … you cannot present evidence in your defense … and no evidence even needs to be cited against you,” warns Mike Adams, the Health Ranger.

I wish there was a viable alternative to Facebook. Steemit and Minds are not enough for people to move away from FB. And until most people are there, it feels like we're just an echo chamber here.
I know what you mean @unschoolingme (like the name btw). I'm on minds, bitchute and some other decentralized platforms and I am also trying to find something where you can add friends, make posts visible only to people that you wish show them to, like facebook. A built in encrypted messaging/calling app like messenger.
Maybe this will come to steemit in some kind of app or a new platform all together, if it's not available somewhere already. Either way, I'm sure somebody is working on it as there would be great demand for this, especially now, with the current state of the centralized platforms unscrupulous behaviour.

I think it's time we all stopped using mainstream social media platforms. I deactivated my facebook account after the Cambridge Analytica scandal also, the censorship and massive bias these corporations have to further their plans for the new world order.
Decentralised is the only way to go now. Well, for me anyway!

Last week I read that FB is trying to convince the banking industry to provide them with the banking information of their customers. How far can they be allowed to go in seeking to know, sell and control the human race?
They certainly won't be getting my bank details as I've never submitted them (at least knowingly anyway).
Also, I'm sick of the mainstream social media corporations that just balatently abuses ALL of their users through censorship, shadow banning, outright banning, their close ties with governments and so on.
A few years ago, we had few, if any other real choices to move to other platforms and banking systems.
Then, came Satoshi Nakamoto with the world changing bitcoin blockchain technology which now changes everything, it puts control back in our hands. Satoshi knew this would this would be big but, I wonder if he thought that blockchain would ever be utilized in the many different ways like it is now.
I have already deleted my facebook account for these and many other reasons and I hope to be totally independent from central banks in the near future as this, I believe, is now, or soon will be possible.
I'm kind of glad Youtube and the likes of them have been so bullish with their actions as this has created so much unwanted alternative media media attention for them. It's about time these corporations the received the attention they so rightly deserve.
