There's almost no food that isn't genetically modified. Genetic modification is the basis of all evolution. Things change because our planet is subjected to a lot of radiation, which causes DNA damage, which gets repaired, but results in mutations, which create a ready mixture of plants that people can choose from to improve agriculture.
Agriculture, manufactures, commerce and navigation, the four pillars of our prosperity, are the most thriving when left most free to individual enterprise.
Agriculture is the only liable treasure of a nation because there lays the seeds of life. No matter how rich a country is, as a result of its industrial and technological sector, its economy will collapse if the agriculture sector is in shambles. In the past, the economies of many nations tumbled for the same reason and now several measures are being implemented by the governments to empower their country's agriculture sector.
Agriculture is the greatest and fundamentally the most important of our industries. The cities are but the branches of the tree of national life, the roots of which go deeply into the land. We all flourish or decline with the farmer.
