Love is a feeling of affection, which can be expressed in different ways and points of view. This is a feeling through which all the affection, kindness and compassion of the human being can be reflected. The love from the religious point of view transcends the feeling and happens to be considered the manifestation of a state of the soul or of the mind, identified in some religions with God himself or with the force that holds the universe together.

«Love is suffered, it is benign; love has no envy, love is not boastful, he does not do anything undue, he does not seek his own, he does not get irritated, he does not hold a grudge; he does not enjoy injustice, he enjoys the truth more. Everything suffers, everything believes, expects everything, supports everything. Love never stops being; but the prophecies will end, and the tongues will cease, and the science will end.» 1 Corintios 13,4-8.

«If anyone says: I love God, and he hates his brother, he is a liar. For he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And we have this commandment from him: He who loves God, also loves his brother.» 1 Juan 4,20-21.

Our love for God is not greater than our love for our fellow men. God's love does not change according to the circumstances. It is firmly rooted.

The tendency is to want others to change. We feel that it is difficult to love someone the way they are, and we would prefer it to be different. This is proof that we are more concerned with our own happiness and comfort than with love for others; we seek our own good.

The truth is that instead of waiting for others to change, we have to find the sin in ourselves and purify it. Self-interest, the attitude that I am a "know-it-all", arrogance, stubbornness. Sins that I find when I have to see something with others. If we cleanse ourselves of these things then we can carry load, believe, hope and bear all things for others. We love them as they are, and we can pray for them with a sincere love of God and take care of them.
