Fort Santiago is one of the historical landmarks in Manila (Philippines), it is located in Intramuros Manila along Pasig River. It was built by the Spaniards in 1571, reconstructed in 1590, completed built in 1593 and renovated in 1733, the structural system of the Fort Santiago is Masonry. Once it was used as a headquarters, this place is very memorable because our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal was once imprisoned in Fort Santiago before he was died. It has the memorabilia of Jose Rizal inside, his bone with bullet wound has become one of historical items you will found in Fort’s Museum and anyone can visit the place, you can see collections like the embedded foot step of our National Hero before he was executed (his final walk), clothes and utensils used in those times.
Fort Santiago is open for all, air theater and picnics, it has a beautiful attractions, the place is so old yet preserved. Fort Santiago has an entrance fee, 50 pesos for children and 75 for adult. Fort Santiago is most visited for those students having an educational trip.
