celestialchallenge: monday-darkness
Hello steemit family, happy and blessed day for everyone especially for @steemchurch and @sirknight for his initiatory at #celestialchallenge
The topic that I am going to deal with today is the orrogance as part of a person's darkness
ARROGANCE
PEDRO DENIES JESUS. MARCOS: 14-72
(Mk 14: 66-72) "While Peter was standing in the courtyard, one of the high priest's maids came, and when he saw Peter getting warm, looking at him, he said: You were also with Jesus the Nazarene. saying, I do not know him, and he went out into the doorway, and the cock crowed, and the maid, seeing him again, began to say to those who were there, This is theirs, but he denied again. Those who were there said to Peter again, "You are truly one of them, because you are a Galilean." Then he began to curse, and to swear, "I do not know this man you are talking about." And the rooster sang the second time. of the words that Jesus had told him: Before the cock crows twice, you will deny me three times, and thinking about this, I cry bitterly.
The truth is that we have all failed the Lord in many ways, although when this happens, we usually do not like others to know. However, the four Gospels make Peter's denial public, so millions of believers of all generations have come to know about this. However, in this case, it was Peter himself who first told it, because we must not forget that in his Gospel Mark received the testimony of the apostle and his experiences with the Lord.
Why did Peter want to publicize such a shameful failure and how much pain it caused him? The reason why he did it was so that we can learn important lessons from what happened to him as arrogant and we must comply and obey his precepts.
Sadly, we have to recognize that Christians do the same thing many times. Instead of standing out as different from those of the world, we behave like them to prevent them from speaking ill of us or ridiculing us. But surely this is also a way of denying the Lord. Maybe we try to justify ourselves by saying that in this way we want to attract them to the gospel, but the moment we become like them, we have ceased to be light and salt for the world (Mt 5: 13-16).
We are all different and we have received special gifts from the Lord that determine the type of service he has prepared for each one of us. When we strive to take a different direction, this will lead to failure.
This sad episode in Peter's life contains a lesson: Even a person with faith and devotion to God can be vulnerable if he is not well prepared to face unexpected tests or temptations. May Peter's experience serve as a warning to all God's servants.
In the way of faith, who believes himself superior or stronger than others, sooner or later, will experience that we are all really the same, we must realize that God, in his infinite wisdom, is capable of transforming our mistakes and sins in a blessing that leads us to live closer to the
We should not be arrogant to believe that we deceive God by committing a sin, that he is not seeing our behavior, because he knows everything, he can and everything he sees and we must be sure of his kindness, charity and infinite love that he feels for all of us, that even if we sin, yes, we repent with our hearts and follow the path that God forgives us and will continue to clothe us with his merciful cloak.
"Only God is my rock, my salvation and my strength: I will not be defeated!" (Ps 62,6).
