Tiger Shark

It is one of the largest sharks in the world, member of the order Carcharhiniformes and family Carcharhinidae. It is the only member of the genus Galeocerdo. It is also known as a sea tiger and leopard shark and is colloquially called "man-eating shark".

Feature of the tiger shark

• The skin color tends to be bluish or greenish, with a white or light yellow belly with vertical stripes similar to that of the tiger, hence its name. As its development the lines begin to take a clear tone until almost disappear.
• This species of Shark do not tend to be violent with each other.
• They are located in shallow water temperatures.
• Tigers sharks usually weigh between 380 to 862 kilos, and the length of this species reaches 4 to 5 meters.

Feeding

This fantastic animal for being carnivorous bases its feeding on: crustaceans, turtles, birds, mammals and very rarely even can eat of its own species.

Tiger sharks come from the salty waters of the seas or oceans. It is felt in confidence to live near seagrass beds.

He has very good vision and smell, can hold turbulent waters thanks to his well-developed senses, even if they are in turbulent water.
