Daily Celestial Challenge: Love, beauty and freedom - The Price Paid
Hi everyone, good day to every steemian out there. Today on #celestialchallenge iniatiated by @sirknight the topic is #lovebeautyfreedom. Love, beauty and freedom are all very amazing things that everyone wants, but it is not as simple and rosy as it may always seem.
"For never was there a story of more woe than this of juliet and her romeo" - Shakespeare.
But Romeo and juliet is a story of love some may say, indeed it is a story of love but that jist goes to show the other side of this 'love'.
Most people will ask the question, 'why does love hurt'. This is simply because much more than often we liken physical attraction and lust to love.
Also people who claim to love are never ready to put in the effort. The bible tells us in 1 Corinthians that 'love is patient and kind'. It also tells us that love does not show envy. Love is not simply a feeling, love is an act and is a conscious effort. In the world today everyone lives for themselves and care only about themselves. With love it is not so, when we truly love, we live each day not for ourselves but for the other person, our joy is simply their happiness.
Hence in order to avoid 'stories that touch', it is important not to jump into relationships without making sure the love exists. It is alsp necessary that we care for everyone and not just ourselves because as christians we are changed with loving our neighbours as ourselves.
