Daily Celestial Challenge: Light of the world🕯
Happy Sunday to all steemians and a blessed day to you all.
"I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never work in the darkness but shall have the light of life", Jesus himself declared this in John 8:12. When John began writing his Gospel, he began it with "the true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world" (John 1:9).
Just like God, light can be seen to be warm, beautiful, mysterious but most importantly, light guides us on our journeys. In short, it can be said that God is light. Everyone of us as Christians and members of @steemchurch are called to walk in the light of the Lord. When i say 'walk', i mean we all should live our lives the way the Lord Jesus lived his and emulate his life on earth, for it is said about the Lord God in James 1:17 "Father of the heavenly lights".
In summary, we are called to a life in which we obey two major rules. First to love God with all our hearts and mind, secondly to love our neighbours as ourselves.
