CELESTIAL CHALLENGE. (SATURDAY: AGRICULTURE)
ONION:
Onion is doing well in the golden clay that is well extracted. Sandy Lomas is good because they are low in sulfur, where soil soil is generally high sulfur material and produces a pendant bulb. Onion soil requires high level nutrition. Phosphorus is often in large quantities, but due to the availability of low levels of cold soil can be applied before the plant. Nitrogen and potass can be used regularly during the growing season, the final application of nitrogen is going to occur at least four weeks before.
Bulbing onion days are length sensitive; their bulbs only increase when the number of daylight hours is more than the least. Most traditional European onions are called "long days" onion, which produce 14 hours or more daylight bulbs. South European and North African varieties are often known as "Intermediate Day" types, only 12-13 hours of light requirement for the formation of bulb formation.
Finally, the "Short Day" onion, which has been developed in recent years, are planted in autumn winter winter areas and become the bulb in the early spring and encourages the formation of the bulb. For only 11-12 hour light is needed.
INSECTS AND DISEASES:
Onions are affected by many plants. The most serious onion horticulture for beans can be fly, stadium and bulb eelworm, white watches, and neck watches. Patients affected by plants include rust and dirt, soil open and white tip disease. The bulb may be affected by sharpness, white stroke, and neck clock. Thanksgiving is a condition in which the main leaves become yellow and the inner part of the bulb falls in an unhealthy burden. Most of them are best treated by removing and burning diseases-affected plants.
Onions fly gives eggs on leaves and onions and on the ground near onions, donkeys, leaks, and garlic plants. The crop is attracted to the crop by the smell of broken tissue, and then it is possible after exploding. There is no chance to attack the growing plants. The road tunnel blinds and plants and turns yellow. The bulb is exposed, especially in wet weather. Controlling steps may include crop rotation, seed dressing, early sowing or planting, and removal of affected plants.
