Exploring the Hidden Beauty of Olango Island, Philippines

Hello there steemians 😁 Today, I wanted to share to you another summer adventure I had last April 28-29, 2018.

Looking for a perfect summer get away? Want to bask under the heat of the sun? Want to relax and be at peace? Well, Island Eco-Tourism Park at Asinan, Sabang, Olango Island is a perfect place to go.

Cebu is know for its pristine blue waters and powdery white sand. In fact, Cebu is considered to be one of those places that you need discover.

Summer is a perfect time to reconnect with nature and explore. We all need to unwind after a stressful and hell life at school. Together with my co-senior high pioneers we decided to head on one of Olango Island's best kept secret, the "Island Eco-Tourism Park".



How to get there? From SM City, Cebu ride a 01K jeepney and tell the driver to drop you off at Parkmall, Mandaue. Upon arriving, find a jeepney plying to Soong, Lapu-lapu City and tell the driver to drop you off at Mactan New Town Terminal. Next you need to ride a motorcycle heading to "Angasil". When you arrive in the area, buy a ticket for the pump boat. Upon arriving at Olango Island, ride again a motorcycle heading to Asinan, Sabang. When you finally reach your destination, you can ask the people taking good care of the place about the entrance fee. They also allow for an overnight stay.



There you can rent a tent for only Php 150.00 only. The view was breath taking. The breeze coming from the sea is very relaxing. It is indeed a perfect summer get away for those people who loves adventure.
