Cayenne Pepper Benefits Health and Romance

in #cayenne7 years ago

According to several accounts given by contributors to online sites such as the People's Pharmacy, cayenne pepper benefits are nearly limitless. Ongoing medical research projects support some of the claims. Packed with Vitamin C and other nutrients, cayenne pepper is a member of the capsaicin family, the ingredient that makes hot peppers hot. Capsaicin from cayenne added to salves often relieves muscle and joint pain.

Capsaicin works by reducing substances in the skin that send pain sensors to the brain. Any number of websites report that a daily cup of cayenne pepper tea or cayenne pepper capsules relieves arthritis, reduces high blood pressure, stops heart attacks, cures and other diseases. The American Association for Cancer Research reported on its findings using capsaicin in prostate cancer research.

Some cayenne pepper users have discovered that eating foods containing capsaicin at the onset of a migraine can halt cluster headaches. Others claim making a paste of cayenne pepper to stop a cut from bleeding works just as well as using the black pepper paste home remedy.

  The Cayenne Pepper Diet

Cayenne as a food seasoning is considered little more than a hot additive. Some Creole and Cajun chefs disagree. They say cayenne introduced to gumbos and sauces during the last few minutes of cooking delays the pungency and releases a unique, detectable flavour before the burn.

The new Cayenne Pepper Diet has been around since the 1940s. The diet recently regained new interest when singer and actress Beyoncé Knowles revealed she dropped 20 pounds on the Cayenne Pepper Diet for her role in the movie Dream Girls

Pepper's Role in Hot Romance

For years, people have used cayenne pepper to heat up the romance. Because capsaicin raises body temperature, it's believed foods seasoned with hot pepper and eaten before love heightens attraction. An online article titled "25 Foods t Get You in the Mood" lists cayenne pepper and includes a sweet and fiery recipe for getting it all started. Eating spicy Mexican or Creole foods, both of which are laden with cayenne, should serve the purpose as well. After handling hot peppers or topical products containing capsaicin, wash hands to avoid eye, nose, and skin irritation. Eating significant amounts of cayenne will cause burning in the mouth. Hot pepper triggers diarrhoea in some people.
