FIREPLACE KITTIES!

I LOVE fire! I know, I know, it's not normal for cats to like it, but....................... it like........ excites me! I almost want to climb into the wood stove when my human is building a fire to heat our house with! (actually once, when my human cleaned out the ashes and had gone to put them outside, I did climb in the stove. It was very interesting!) The other night, my human had built and especially good fire in the wood stove.

I am the kitty on the striped rug. My brother Cyle is on the darker one looking as if to say, 'you're disturbing me!'

He has such big fangs, but I always outrun him when he gets too serious in our play. He's not going to sink those into me! He does look as if he's holding the hearth down, but he is a bit strange at times.

We are both somewhat 'drunk' on fire, but it does make for a good sleep.

We stayed that way for quite a while last night, but then my human came to add firewood to the fire, and Cyle ran away from the fire (he's really afraid his fur will burn; sometimes, I will crawl under the wood stove and sleep there!) but I stayed where I was and enjoyed the warmth from the stove!

Did I mention I LOVE fire?
