Smart Cats like Smart Contracts
Days are getting colderrrrr again in this region of the planet. But thats not an issue for us here, as we filled up our dry wood storage and we know a lot of things to do inside, CATching up with news – especially since I was dipping my paw in the waste oceans of the crypto world.
I hope the Satoshi Human(s) are in a cosy place and follow developments in the crazy crypto cabalzz – all completely transparent, fully decentralised and still unauthorised - emerging in many places and cultures around the globe where humans live in or try to oppose conventional societies with a long history of questionable practices.
As cats of course we know about all this and more, but, you know, who would have thought that we… Meeauwww… Sorry – off topic, but…
As an Anarcat living in a squat I know of course, that beyond the Whatever-Coin experiment, which are all fun and also rewarding if played carefully – there is always a blockchain in the works. It can manage financial transactions on its decentralised ledger of course much much better than all the banks in the world could together (they can’t).
And all of that technology is open source! That is a huge difference to closed commercial and private endeavours, where information and with that innovation is restricted and centralisation of (governing) power and wealth are enforced kinda artificially.
But the Blockchain is changing all this. After this first stage of cryptocurrencies running on the cryptoledger, we will understand how financial markets (really) work and start to create much more efficient and progressive structures via tokens.
Every transaction through the blockchain is actually a (smart) contract. And once the deployment of smart contracts will become daily routine and applications of all kind are invented or moved to a (trustless) decentralised peer-to-peer infrastructure which you can trust, things will change a lot.
Code is not poetry. Code is the law.
In this context we can talk altcoin based advances, but there are also efforts going on to integrate more coding solutions for the bitcoin blockchain itself. For example there is rootstock (RSK): they are making it possible to work with smart contracts directly on the bitcoin blockchain.
I am also really curious about the future of Ethereum (ETH), but as well other projects like Counterparty (CPX) or Lisk (LSK), and there are many other teams working in this field, and they can not all be mentioned here. But if there is something smart to say about one of them – feel free to lay it out in a nice comment.
Otherwise I hope you all liked my post of today! Dont forget:
