Happy Adoption Anniversary Indy!

Today marks 1 year since this beautiful boy came to live with us so I thought I'd share a few pictures with you all.

We adopted Indy as a kitten from our local animal shelter and as we already had another cat - 6 year old Man Puss, we were nervous about how the two of them would get along. In the end it wasn't a problem, after a couple of weeks they were comfortable with each other's company and now, although they still have the odd 'tiff', they wouldn't be without each other.

A very confident and inquisitive cat, Indy soon made himself part of the family. He's great with the kids, playful enough to keep them entertained but laid back enough to withstand the odd tug of fur.

Like his big brother Man Puss, Indy has however worked out who is the true 'cat person' of the house. Although it's usually my husband's job to feed the boys, I am the one to be showered with feline affection.

They says cats choose their owners - I feel extremely privileged to be their chosen human.

These photographs are amazing and a very big congratulations to you in your adoption anniversary. I'm happy that both of them have got along and that there wasn't any problem to you and I hope that the same thing continues. May both of them live a long long life. All the best.

Thank you for your kind words! I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they did get along, especially as I've never introduced cats before.

Woot woot! Happy 1 Year little kitty! Hope you have an amazing day

Thank you! I'll make sure he does :)

An obligatory cat photo upvote and a RS! A great post from the <3 Kate!! :) Steem on!

Haha thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoyed seeing my lovely cats :) Much appreciated.

Yeah, I'm a cat person over a dog one anyday Kate! Cats and horses are an instant resteem for me :)

I love horses too....unfortunately I don't have one of those :( Maybe drop a few hints to Adam for me haha!

Oh they are just beautiful! What are their names?

Well, you will know if you check out my posts, lol.

How sweet! I love adoption stories. I adopted Newt when I found him in the woods alone as a young kitten. Obviously a discard from people too irresponsible to spay and neuter. He was not in too bad shape but being so small he was very hungry and would have soon dehydrated in the hot weather we had. It was just a chance walk that took me to where he was dropped off. Previously I never walked that way, I feel it was fate he found me ❤ resteemed

Oh that's a beautiful story! Definitely fate. How long have you had him?

We celebrated his Adoption Day the end of May. The story is even more quizzical because it was on the wings of the loss of my beloved Siberian Husky, Sasha, who I had to put to sleep at 14 1/2 on January 2, 2014. He's a bit over 3 now. I think he was 6 or 7 weeks when I found him. ❤

He's incredibly lucky to have found his forever home with clearly a caring and responsible owner. Enjoy being his human, it was obviously meant to be!

❤ thank you and you are a wonderful adoption Mom!

Must upvote..kitties..

Thank you! Much appreciated

The first picture is great :)

Thank you! I do love a cat selfie :)

Haha, that first photo! Your other cat looks a bit like one of mine. (Cleo)

Oh Cleo is just lovely! She does indeed look a bit like Man Puss :)
