Making my cat a collar - part 1

I've started designing a collar for my little cat!

Since we got her almost 2 months ago, the only sort of collar she's worn is a cone or a cushioned donut cone (she had surgery and wore it during her recovery to try and stop her from licking or itching the area.)

So she hasn't worn any sort of collar since. I'd like to make her one for fun!

Of course, I will be very conscious of what she is and isn't comfortable wearing- so some of these designs are a little silly on purpose.

For my first idea, I thought of a very simple look. The materials I have for this project are a little sewing kit, felt, some ribbon and a few applique bits! For this idea, I had the use of a little bell in mind- so I need to find one! I know I have one lying around the house.

This would be my "default" idea, as it is the most simple and would be the most comfortable for my cat- but I do think it's a little boring!

The second idea, is still a bit simple but it has some sort of bubble collar motif! Not quite sure about this one, I don't really think she'd find it very comfortable? I would be using felt so I'm not sure! I don't expect her to be wearing it constantly too so it's more of an occasional thing.

This idea is more for fun lol, it's a very unlikely option but it certainly IS an option! I do love Kermit the Frog (from the Muppets) so, maybe! (but probably not). I also don't really think she would find it very comfortable and I would have to buy more fabric which I don't want to do!

I do like this idea, I don't think I would use felt for it though- I'd probably use old white t-shirt material from clothes I don't wear anymore.

I think it would be very cute and I think she would look very smart! But due to the sizing of it I'm not sure if she'd find it very comfortable.

These are both very simple but I think they're the cutest and most comfortable for my cat! There's not too much going on and I don't think she would be uncomfortable or overwhelmed by it.

I could also make both of these as they wouldn't require a lot of fabric, it would just be 2 strips of the felt I bought!

The rose is a little applique item I have a few of, I just need to find it in my room- I'm not sure where I got it from but I know I've had it from an odd craft shop for many years; thankfully I can use it now! The bow is from a piece of ribbon I've had lying around my desk for a while.
