AM A PROUD CATHOLIC(brief information of what we catholics do during this week)
the holiest week in the calendar of the catholic church started with palm Sunday which signifies the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem where he rode on a donkey to show the world he is a king. Today was a chrism mass celebrated in the archdiocese of Lagos, Nigeria where all the priest in the archdiocese gather to celebrate mass with the archbishop and also to renew their priestly vows and the blessings of oils of chrism and anointing of the sick. on holy Thursday will be the mass of the last supper, followed by good Friday where our lord Jesus Christ went through suffering on the cross for the sake of we sinners and finally he died for us so that our sins maybe forgiven, followed by the holy Saturday mass which will be the preparation of the rising of our lord Jesus Christ from the grave into eternal life and finally Easter Sunday, the most memorable day of our christian life where Christ rose from the dead in fulfillment of the scriptures and by rising from the dead he defeated death and sin. halleluyah
