RE: Catalonia: independence based on lies

in #catalonia7 years ago

"Unfortunately for them, European leaders have been supporting the Spanish government and declared that in the case Catalonia achieves independence it would not be a part of the Union, it would need to follow the same process as any other country that wants to join the EU. In other words, Catalonia would never become a part of the European Union because neither Spain nor the other members would recognize Catalonia as a separate state"
Well, that should be seen at that moment. Spain would be the first interested state to have Catalonia in the EU. Anyway, many other countries like Norway, Switzerland and soon the UK are not UE members and it's not going bad for them.

Regarding the referendum: if you boicot it with the police, obviously it's difficult to make it possible. Do you know how many people voted twice? Do you think it was necessary to hit defenseless citizens the way they did? Why, to prevent a supposed non-legal referendum?

About the economics: why the government gives an express way out for companies if there's nothing to fear? Also check this:. Catalonia is growing its economy as Spain: http://www.abc.es/espana/catalunya/economia/abci-camara-comercio-cataluna-alerta-riesgo-debilitamiento-economia-enquiste-201801301243_noticia.html

I think Julian Assange knows very well his sources of information to say whatever he wants.

The only way out here is a referendum like other countries did. I do not like the unilateral way, this needs a political response. However, the PPSOE has proven absolutely unable to give anything else than prisons. Not a single proposition, like UK did with Scotland. Nothing.

Anyway, second elections in a row with a majority of independentist deputies with 74% and 79% of census. And it won't be the last time.

And i'm not trying to change anyone's mind either ;)
