RE: Cats, life and other thoughts.

Hey there.

Yeah, that boulder thing and tree Tuesday etc. I think it's designed for people with nothing really to say, to get people posting. I never click on them though, so I don't know. I did once...Saw a photo of what was obviously a rock in someone's garden no bigger than a small cat...They called it boulder Thursday or some such nonsense...I tuned out and never went back.

Maybe these could be called boulders...But I've never done a boulder-weekday so what the hell do I know? 😂

Moeraki Rocks, New Zealand on a recent vacation there. My wife sits atop the pebble (boulder?) in the first shot.

Anyway, I'm no expert here...I just know what I do. Tag your posts with relevance to your content. Maybe find some good users to follow. An easy way to do this is to find someone your like then see who they follow. It's a good start. Also, if you go to your own feed, then in the address bar at the top of your browser replace your name with the other user (leaving /feed) that will take you to what tat user sees.

wwwsteemitblahblah@galenkp/feed (for example)

This is a good way to see what others are doing.

Anyway, I hope this helps a little.

Merlin is 22, the black one, and Cleo is 8. They love each other. Both came to us as strays, Merlin at about 1 year old and Cleo at about 6 or 7 weeks. They too to each other immediately and we like them better than most people we know.

Hi again @galenkp (not sure if comments send notifications if you don't mention the person?) Thanks for the awesome pictures! Those Moeraki rocks look like dinosaur eggs wow! So you know what the stpey is of their unique forms? Also it looks cold there. Is the ocean cold there too or was it just winter?

On the 'rocks' titles, lol I guess some places are boring and finding a pebble in your backyard is a big deal?!

Oh and Merlin (What a cool name) and Cleo are too awesome! Love the fact that Merlin is like super old plus his name is Merlin 🌌 also 22 is old for a cat isn't it? Amazing, hehe, I can see they like each other alot. Cleo's face in the last picture is priceless 😺

Also when you say they came to you as strays, was it a 'coincidence'- if I may say so... or were you guys staying in a place (perhaps city) with many cats around or like are you just cat people? *I'm just curious as I'm always thinking what I will do when a stray cat crosses my path and how I will be able to help it. Beautiful story though, so sweet how they found both you and each other.

P.S. totally laughed when I read this "we like them better than most people we know." - ditto for us, though that statement is so classic of cat people don't you think? Haha.

Oh and last but not least, thanks SO much for the tips! Defintely would not have thought of checking who others follow or figured out how to see their feeds all on my own... great hacks Im definitely trying and am sure it will help me add some good content to my feed 🙃

Thanks again for your time and effort in helping me out and sharing your photos and stories! I hope you're having a good day/evening 🙄

Here's the post I did about Moeraki Rocks a couple months back, it'll explains what they are.

It was I'm October this year when we were there, and the south island if NZ so yes, cold. About 10°C that day. Yes, the ocean is cold there too.

So Merlin arrived at our back door, skinny and looking pretty bad. Cleo was being terrorised by some young boys. A client of my wife brought her to us hoping we would be able to help. 22 is old for a cat, but he has a good life, is mostly well fed and kept in good health. We will miss him when he is gone.

You're welcome for the tips. I hope you found something that will help and wish you well the best.

Really nice learning about your travels and cats. I'm thinking NZ is a place I surely have to visit. Nature seems so unique and diverse there, also reading your post about the rocks just made me realize how much I appreciate reading about travellings from real people rather than fake touristy things found in commercial media. Thanks to you I know that place exists, kinda cant imagine how else I wouldve found out about it. Hmmm, gotta love the interwebz 🙃

Ah you guys sound like gaurdian angels for cats hey, Im happy you could help and still are treating both Merlin and Cleo to a good life 😺♔🐱👑 here's to Merlin having many more🤗

Have a great week! And thanks again.

I agree, better to learn about places from people who have actually been there. Glad you enjoyed it.
