Spanish is not a brand | Posts condemned to dust
In steemit, spanish language is under control of a monopoly, the language has become a brand and unless you post under the brand tags and are friendly with the brand; Your posts are damned to collecting dust in oblivion, or if you are lucky they get curated by small curation groups that will give a little more than dust as payout.
This is worrisome at several levels: but mainly because; we allowed a decentralized network to become centralized.
They created and fund a "post police" @lince that doesn't teach users and in many cases insult them when they approach their discord channel looking for explanations or guidance. Acting like a spanish steemit gestapo.
They don't quote sources for the images they use in their profiles, yet they or their team call thieves* users who do the same (the funnel law we call this in my country)
They fund they curation branches (6 last count) which then they full vote on reports see example where for voting 15 posts to allocate 5$ per post they cashed 36 from the regards pool (2.4$ per vote)

They dont promote adoption or retention: New users make mistakes, we should be here to teach them, to share with them and to make them evolve from humans to steemians, but when after your first post you are tagged by a feral cat, you are insulted when asking for explanations, and all your future posts are ignored forever because you are on their list these users leave.
This is not a post about unfairness, the free market rules that drive steemit are at work here, however we need to open our eyes and start seeing those big guilds and groups for what they really are.
Users are the ones who have allowed this to happen by complying and lowering their heads to avoid not having their votes, and these supposedly "helping hand" they provide it is just a means to reap the rewards pool.
It is up to you to use the imposed tags or condemn your posts to dust, i understand that many have chosen to do so because especially in south america steemit can be a much needed source of income and i don't blame the users, i blame US, i blame everyone silence and everyone lack of action to help restore the balance and actually embrace the real spirit of this platform.
The shareholders have the right to decide what to do with their money and their witness votes.
But it will be interesting to look closely at what are they supporting and confirm wheter it is the direction they want this platform to maintain.
It is up to you (The USER ) to decide...

I decided to choose the side of right, to burn the possibility of receiving support to tell the uncomfortable truth.
Probably my witness career now is back to provide a server ad my projects wont get support.
But i said what needed to be said and my conscience is clean, i assume the political cost.

Well, the only comment that defends the monopoly is also the only comment that has a payout...
This proves that by controlling the most influence tokens the group is indeed in control of the users and therefore of the language.
Also the payout you will receive for this comment is about 10 times bigger than the payout an user not using the brand tags in spanish will get.
Also the relatively small percentage of self votes (13.8 % when you add it up) does not show a lack of monopolistic behavior; only shows that from the 1563 low percentage votes given to users they have given to themselves 215 votes which translates to 3440 $ for publishing vote reports.
Their self vote is not what is into question here, votes on reports are compensation for PoW.
What is in question here is the control of the whole language and who gets and don't rewarded for their efforts.
Something else in question is the proportion of the magnitudes of self votes compared with the rewards they help allocate.

This isn’t anything new, sadly. We saw the same thing with Steem Guild and other curation “guilds” in the past. The people who run them don’t apply the same rules to themselves and mostly use the guild as a means to enrich themselves, not to support the given community that they claim to be “helping.”

What we are striving to do ATM is to train users starting and protect them from the private police to help them become those original and quality producers we want to thrive in the platform.
I have one or two renegades who like me condemn their posts to dust, i'll DM them to you, but little by little we are getting new curators and small players that support freedom, the problem is that half of them just want to follow big daddy steps and the other half are a ragged band of good will and hope but little SP, I am following the trail of two small curation projects from people in south america:
@provenezuela and @dropahead
It wont make much of a difference but i realized it would have been a mistake to want to create another curation group to put my SP to work, that is another campaign i have at user level, trying to aggregate projects to work together until they consolidate and can specialize as that is the second mistake many possible competitors have made, by being tunnel visioned by their own objectives not seeing that they have to work together if they want to grow strong.

Tiene usted totalmente la razón amigo Narvaez, y suscribo en un 100% todas y cada una de sus palabras, el derecho le asiste y es su libre albedrío con su habilidosa libertad de conciencia que se merece, quien ha gritado su queja formal y en dicho criollo, creo que está vociferando: ¡chamo, yo no le calo más! Pero, en este mundo tan SISTÉMICO, la razón, el derecho y la verdad no necesariamente son los vencedores...
Mis respetos hacia usted y disculpe el abuso para permitirme explicarle un poco: el Sistema Mundial es netamente PIRAMIDAL (y extrañamente las leyes en todo el mundo consideran los esquemas piramidales como estafa o fraude, ergo: delito); tan es así que las clases sociales y las democracias son la mejor prueba de ello (¿acaso alguien me puede rebatir eso? De no entenderlo bien, en otro momento te lo puedo explicar). Volviendo al punto que atañe a tu publicación, te indico que siendo TODO PIRAMIDAL, ninguno de nosotros está exento ni puede escapar (¿De La Matrix?).
De hecho, si lo analizas bien, Steemit también es un Sistema Piramidal con muchos Bemoles. Su algoritmo de programación es simple y complejo a la vez, pero "hermosamente" basado en un esquema piramidal que se encuadra basado en PoW (Proof of Work o Prueba de Trabajo) pero está sutilmente disfrazado como PoB (Proof of Brain o Prueba de "Cerebro"); y para no extenderme más Cervantes no ha hecho más que "construir" su propia Pirámide dentro de la gran Pirámide que representa Steemit...
En tal sentido, dejo para su consumo (si lo desea y acepta) un resumen de mis recomendaciones finales (tengo más, pero sería muy grosero extenderme tanto):
.- Jamás debe usted luchar contra el Sistema, es un absurdo y te consumirás en el banal intento. Ojo, pero sigue siendo crítico y mantente libre, no permitas que el sistema te esclavize (no es algo paradójico: se puede ser libre dentro del sistema porque a la vez puedes UTILIZAR al sistema para tu propio beneficio y si eres altruista, será mejor aun, puesto que beneficiarás a quienes están a tu alrededor, por ejemplo como "Testigo" de Steemit y en beneficio de los venezolanos que hacemos vida en esta comunidad y tanto lo necesitamos, seguro eso lo entiendes bien).
.- Revisa bien tu esquema de trabajo y actuación, en especial tomando en consideración que "verdugo no chilla". Luego de una profunda meditación y análisis, seguro encontrarás tus fallas, debilidades, oportunidades, fortalezas y defectos, lo positivo y negativo de tu "hoja de ruta" o bitácora en Steemit. En base a esto, construye tu PROPIA PIRÁMIDE, en sustentada en tus compatriotas venezolanos, pero con honestidad, sabiduría, inteligencia, planificación, compromiso, lealtad, paciencia, responsabilidad, soporte y mucho trabajo, entre otros ítems. Los beneficios después de esto, vendrán solos por defecto, así como las aguas del rio tienden a desembocar en el mar.
.- Sea más cauteloso con sus quejas y en general con todo; porque una vez derramada el agua, es muy difícil de recoger y si puede haerlo de seguro estará muy sucia; actúe más con el cerebro y menos en base a su ácido estomacal.
.- Sea Feliz, de cualquier modo, no permita que insignificantes eventos y personas tóxicas o negativas, le perturben su paz interior y su felicidad.

Hermano aunque tiene usted mucha razon en mucho de lo que dice yo me harte de "Doblarme para no partirme" usted que es Venezolano sabe a quien estoy haciendo referencia.
Lo que yo veo arriba y lo que veo se vive abajo concuerdan con tu percepcion; La inaccion de las masas a permitido que se reproduzca aqui el modelo exterior que en teoria esta red queria cambiar.
Me canse sobre todo de hacer politica delicada arriba para poder apoyar abajo.
Si esto tiene remedio, este post abra sido el grito de ayuda a los de arriba y su versio n en español habra sido el grito de despertar de los de abajo.
Si no pasa nada, queme mi imagen como witness y ya esta... Otro vendra a decirlo cuando sea el momento y si sera escuchado.
PS: Las democracias estan como estan porque los ciudadanos creen que el unico deber que tienen es ir a escojer al menos peor.

Entiendo perfectamente, pero debemos sembrar, echar raices, y engrosar y fortalecer el tronco y todas sus ramas, las cuales deben ser muy flexibles y "adaptativas". Si Steemit es lo que yo creo que es y será en un futuro cercano (tiendo a hacer prospección y construir escenarios a futuro, me gusta ser predictivo en base a datos y situaciones reales), la lenta carrera de resistencia (ojo no es de velocidad) debe usted seguirla; si son buenas sus intenciones cuenta y deberá contar con mi apoyo y el de muchos venezolanos, y en general de los latinoamericanos. Sin pelear ni disparar ni una sola bala, se puede ganar una pelea, una batalla y hasta una guerra... Go Ahead... En términos políticos es la misma recomendación "pa´lante es pa´allá"...

Tienes razon a lo mejor debi consolidarme mas, pero es que eso es precisamente lo que queremos cambiar.
Lamentablemente muchos callan para tener el voto gordo, y eso es el equivalente a la bolsa del clap el bozal de arepa que impide que el pueblo despierte afuera de la matriz.
Si valio la pena o no quemarme no dependera ni de mi ni de ti, dependera del despertar del inconciente colectivo, dependera de que la gente se quiera dar una oportunidad de ver hacia adelante o prefiera sus 10$ cash del post de mañana, sin pensar en los mañanas que vendran despues de ese...

I am not a Spanish poster because unfortunately I don't speak Spanish, but I understand you, and I am sorry to hear that they are monopolizing this category. What you say about the dust that you get as upvotes seems very familiar to me because as a pretty new user this is all I get to almost any post :))
Well at least you have hope, because english language is much more balanced and open, so it would be a matter of building a strong follower base and find your posting niche.
But i understand your frustration.

Ad today I have sent by mistake one SBD (I know it sounds cheap but for me that was hard earned) to another person instead of converting it to STEEM, by mistake... and then I have written an article about it, almost dot read by anyone so your comment really made me feel better :D Thanks a lot!

that is exactly what i/we have been trying to promote, a free tag in our language and it has started to live organically with what we can provide as curation
Abandoné la plataforma durante meses por lo mismo, estoy harto de los trails, los vote guilds y demás tonterías que plagan steemit, al inicio participaba y siempre recibía votos en mis cuentos, pero poco a poco se volvió más turbio, al punto en que en su discord solo se leen comentarios casi de copy/paste.
Mientras me alejaba dejé delegado todo mi SP a un usuario que de verdar comentaba y "curaba" los post, en lugar de un borrego que lo mandaría al trail de cervantes.
La cuestión es que se necesitaría un cambio fundamental en el algoritmo de steemit o en el paradigma del "valor de los post para el usuario" para que esto se termine, por lo pronto seguiré considerando esta plataforma meramente una forma de guardar de forma cuasi permanente mis trabajos.

Cambiar el algorithmo no es tan importante o necesario, hay otras maneras mucho mas sencillas que solo requieren dedicacion y desapego, el STEEM esta basado en la confianza y en la estima, eso es lo que le da valor, en steemit estan los financieros que desvirtuan el espiritu de la plataforma y estan los anarco-soñadores que buscan crear una verdadera red humana.
Pero bueno lo que quiero decir es que aqui muchos compartimos la filosofia de que mientras mas ricos todos seamos mas generosos todos podemos ser dentro de la plataforma.
Y lo unico que necesitamos es unirnos y trabajar juntos por el bien comun, asi despues habra para todos.
