Three arrested including wife in Tangail murder case
District Detective Police (DB) arrested three persons, including the wife of Rajya Begum, the main accused in the murder of former army officer of Tangail in Gopalpur. This information was given on Sunday (April 29th) in a press briefing at the Tangail Police Superintendent's office in the afternoon.
The other two accused are Abdur Rahim, son of Sujon and Abdur Razzak, son of Hossain Ali of Baskail Goyarpara village under Gopalpur upazila.
Officer-in-charge of DB police Ashok Kumar Singh said, on August 17, 2016, army retired Sergeant Shamim Hossain was missing. Later, on August 28, his body was recovered from the condition of hand-footed condition of under the water level of Biren river. In the murder case, Shamim's wife Razia Begum filed a murder case with the plaintiff. Later, it is known that Shamim's wife Razia killed the killer. Two other accused in the murder were arrested from Hemayetpur area of Savar in Dhaka district. The defendants claimed responsibility for the murder and gave statements in court. Later they were sent to jail.
OC Ashok Kumar Singh said that the main accused, Razia Begum's 10-day remand application will be filed.
