TOP 10 MEXICO VACTION HORROR STORIES
Going on a vacation is one of the best way's to get away from the kids and the dreaded work place! One of my best vacation experience's was in Mexico of august 2017. I had the best time of my life on a all inclusive resort that included 3 restaurants, 4 bars, 2 pools, and so much more. The resort had its own small town which was surrounded by a huge fence and police around it. When you leave the gates its a whole new world let me tell you! It still amazes me how drastically your surroundings changes from the time you pass through those gates. I seen huts every ware, people standing on the side of the road looking for work, guys chopping down thick brush in insane heat with what looked like no water. One thing I noticed was the vast amount of brand new black tinted out escalades I seen driving around.
Overall I had a great time in Mexico and I cant wait to go back, but fortunately for me I didn't go through what these people did!
Without a doubt Mexico is a very beautiful place and one of the hottest tourist destinations for Americas to travel to but you often don't hear about the horror stories that unlucky vacationers have experienced! Below I will share 10 REAL stories that happened to REAL tourist's.
10.) A popular resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico just south of Cancun, had a massive explosion go off in the main lobby, witnesses stated "the floor blew through the ceiling from the blast" the explosion killed 5 Canadian tourists, two Mexican workers, and injured 17 others. The owners of the Grand Riviera Princess hotel security even barred ambulances from entering the resort following the blast, on top of that a victim was on route to a hospital by ambulance but they ran out of gas and tried making the victims family pay! After a year authorities found that an unauthorized extension of a gas line under the hotel lobby that was damaged.
9.) While a man and his wife were having a few drinks at the Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda at Mayan Riviera they noticed two resort staff caring a girl who was pale and unconscious into a bathroom. Shocked in disbelief onlookers tried to help, one was tried giving the women CPR but the staff refused to let anybody help! The staff assured everybody that medical professionals were on the way but after 40 long minutes the ambulance arrived only to be to late.
8.) Cancun, RIU Grande Peninsula Resort, A couple on their very first day of vacation were having drinks and enjoying their trip when they got into an argument and the man struck his girlfriend, the local security detained the man for 2 days. It only gets worse, after being detained and starved 5 men rapped him and set him free. The couple tried to report the incident to Mexican officials but never heard anything back.
7.) Unknown resort in Rivera Maya, what started as a peaceful vacation ended tragically by the death of a man who drowned because staff "again" refused to help the man. The man died at by hitting his head and going unconscious at a cliff jump by the pool. After he died they refused to show the mans wife autopsy report.
6.) After rapping up a two week stay at Nuevo Mazatlán Mexico, two American collage students decided to get some food before they left the country. They both ordered margaritas that tasted terrible so bad neither finished them. Not long after they were sicker than dogs and not-stop vomiting/diarrhea. The two students managed to call staff but to only find that they were being forced to leave or pay for another 2 weeks! Out of money and hopeless they went to the nearby clinic and the doctor luckily made them stay until recovered, if the doctor didn't help them they could of easily died!
5.) A mother brought her 3 kids to a great resort she found online with great reviews and fair prices, she arrived only to be charged an additional $1,000 a night! The mother called her travel agent, but that did nothing because the staff refused to bargain with her. After pleading for hours with staff she gave in took the room, she spent the whole night looking for different resorts without eating or drinking anything. The next day the family went to check out only to be greeted by an additional $600 bill, refusing to pay she noticed the armed guards glancing blocking the exits. She was being held hostage at 5 star resort for not paying hidden fees! The mother eventually gave in and paid to get the hell out of their!
4.) A business man was on his way to An annual cooperate work meeting in Cancun, upon arrival security found a spent shotgun shell in his bag that is sun left in their, the authorities held him ransom for $35,000 luckily the business man worked for a oil company and could pay the ransom!
3.) A couple on a dream honeymoon in Mexico went sour when a man suffered shortness of breath and was rushed to the Riu Santa Fe hospital. The patient was only given CPR, paddles, and finally injected epinephrine into his thigh, 15 seconds later after injection his pulse stopped. The Doctor refused to continue to resuscitate. On the medical report Doctor said he died of asphyxia followed by heart attack and that he had no pulse when he arrived to hotel room. He 100% lied!
2.) Cancun hotel zone, a popular tourist hotel bar is targeted by a group of armed men aboard motorcycles sprayed the Mandala and the Congo Bar with gunfire, killing one bartender and 1 security guard and, 9 civilians hurt.
All in a very popular tourist area that would be thought of as safe!
1.) An American family headed on a 7 day vacation to Mazatlán Mexico after settling in at their resort they decide to go to the bar area, they order a few drinks and as the father went to tip the waiter but, as soon as he opened his wallet the whole family was forced into an alley at gunpoint, where the father was told he needed to withdraw all his money or their kids were going to be killed, it was then that POLICE officers got involved, BUT NOT TO HELP BUT TO ROB the family, they removed $700.00 cash from his pocket took all 3 of the sons Gshock watches and hats. After the officers and security took anything worth value, they took the father to the ATM machine and would not give them money since the family gave their banks a heads up of the planned trip and would not allow large sums of money to be withdrawn for security purposes. It was then that the children and the father endured a brutal beating because of the inability to give them money.
