Mazda Rotary Engine AKA The Wankel Engine

Not many know of of this engine but the people who do either love it like myself or hate it. Hopefully i can generate more love for this engine with this post. In this post i will give you 3 pros and three cons of the Rotary Engine.

Pros:

1. Simple design, the rotary engine is very simple a 2 rotor only has 3 moving parts and is a good starting point for people to learn how engines work.
2. Less vibration due to its unique design the Rotary Engine can produce high levels of power and higher RPM this makes them faster than piston engines.
3. Rotary engines are reliable as long as you do the proper maintenance and treat them well these engines will last forever.

Cons:

1. Because of its simple design oil leaks are extremely common and can cost a lot to fix.
2. Rotary Engines burn oil like crazy you always need to check your oil you cant forget to check your oil or you could burn out your apex seals.
3. Because of the Rotary Engines design it burns a lot of gas also which means high emissions for your car.

Here is a picture i made of all the Rotary powered cars from Mazda yet except the rx-8 cause imo the rx-8 was teribble. Enjoy!!!
