In the movies: Wiseguys and Jaguar's [EPISODE 1]
Is it me or Jaguar is the car of a typical crook? A distinguished villain of underworld society that usually are dandy tweed jacket wearing illicit bankers, loansharks or just wiseguys controlling their stake in the business.
These guys have more taste that typical mobsters with oversized jackets in their Lincolns or Cadillac. Still they have to be more subtle than Bentley/Rolls Royce owners by definition. They may not always be part of the mob, but still - you will get your soul crushed in one way or another if trying to cross paths with them.
What a better way to get this impression from movies, isn't it so?
For the case, I prefer to distinguish the 'classic' Jag sedans as of XJ40 until end of X358 lifespan, which are sort of what I am trying to explain here. To get my view together, I had to use the wonderful IMCDB database that has snapped almost every major movie and listed the vehicles appeared. Go on - check it out - http://www.imcdb.org.
