Ferrari Portofino: what more can I say ... bellissima!

Presented in preview at the Frankfurt Motor Show on the Ferrari stand, the replacement for the California T is strong, but very strong impression.

Called "Portofino", this new convertible awakens all the senses. This new Ferrari has everything you can expect or dream of a car: beauty, power, class, aggressiveness, all cleverly elaborated.

A fluid and harmonious line

A bit more conformist than usual, the Portofino sports elegant and fluid lines, but it displays a marked dynamism. This superb bodywork, we simply owe it to the Ferrari team, who did not use Pininfarina to sign this jewel.

The car was designed internally and it must be admitted that the exercise is more than successful. Rarely has a vehicle been so unanimous on a stand. Could it be the perfect car?

For once, we do not change anything. The Portofino inherits the same engine as the California T, which is none other than the V8 3.9 l bi-turbo, voted best engine of the year in 2016 and 2017. Slightly reworked, it is now developing 600 CV, against 560 previously.

The announced performance is of the order of 320 km / h in terms of its top speed, and we go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds. Suffice to say that it disgusts. Normal for a convertible, right?

A splendid interior
Neat, sober, sporty, ergonomic: what more can be said about such a style exercise? Except the huge touch screen overlooking the center console, the rest seems cut for the race.

The Portofino receives for the occasion a specific flat wheel, with imposing pallets, without forgetting the famous manettino, this selector allowing to modify with a gesture the configuration of the car according to the atmospheric conditions but also of the driver mood, with the modes "Sport" and "Race".

Another good point, the Ferrari group has focused on reworking the driving position so as to offer more space to passengers ?? especially at the back.
