Presenting the last ever Ferrari F40 built for the USA! Yes that is correct, this 1992 F40 was the last car built for the USA making it number 213 of 213 US spec cars. In order for the F40 to be imported to the USA, Ferrari had to modify the car to comply with stricter safety and emission regulations. As a result, U.S. spec cars can be identified by their different seats and front bumper and also had catalytic converters.

I never really understood why people considered the F40 the greatest Ferrari until I got to experience it for myself. This car is as analog as it gets! A five speed gated shifter with roll up-windows, no airbags, and no traction control ensure that ones utmost attention is on the road at all times. Even as a passenger, my eyes were glued to the road as I had to help the driver change lanes due to a massive blindspot. That was stressful! Enzo Ferrari, the creator of Ferrari, even said, “This car is so fast it will make you shit your pants” and I was pretty much doing exactly that on the 30-mile drive to the show we were attending.

Every video I have ever watched about the F40 does not come close to doing the car justice. At full throttle the sensation is like no other. Shortly after 4000rpm the turbos comes to life and truly pushes ones whole body against the seat. While purists may hate the fact its turbo charged, I guarantee their ears will come to love that familiar turbo whoosh!

The F40 is like no other car Ferrari has built since its inception and no car will ever be built like it!
