I hope that amateur racing makes a come back.
Used to be race tracks were everywhere. And everyone worked on/tweaked their car.
Today most tracks are closed because people complain about the noise. (even though the track was there first) And cars have become "no user serviceable parts inside"
I am looking forward to the reemergence of home built cars.
I think in the south east alot of tracks are either staying open or being opened with drifting and thats opening the doors for more solox events.
It is nice to be able to go buy a nice turnkey car, but you are so right. There is a lot of satisfaction in wrenching on and then driving something you built yourself.
