Handmade...Not Hallmark!
Believe it or not, Valentine's Day is less than a week away! 😨 Are you prepared? And by prepared I mean have you saved enough money to buy a Hallmark card? Have you seen the prices of these cards lately?! 😱
One alternative (to draining your savings and buying a card) would be to go old school and fold a piece of copy paper in half and draw a heart and write a "Roses are red" poem in the middle or better yet, include a "coupon" for "one free massage." 🤦
Wait, please don't do that! Let your Stamping Steemer girl here show you a better way...the RIGHT way to give a card...make it yourself!
Get you some good quality cardstock, stamps and ink and you're on your way to really impressing the one(s) you love!
"You Leaf My Heart A-Flutter!" (See what I did there? 🙂)
This card was super simple to make! First, I stamped the tree, then the grass at the bottom, and then placed my hearts at various places along the branches. A cute little bow of twine is easily adhered with a glue dot. A heart-shaped punch with a "Be Mine" sentiment stamped is quickly adhered for the finishing touch.
Tranquil Tulip Love! (I got nothing clever for this one! 😏)
Giving these kinds of flowers has a much longer shelf life than a real bouquet (though a real bouquet in addition to the card would be a nice touch)! In fact, the recipient of this card is likely to treasure it forever!
So before you blow your budget on a store-bought card, consider a little DIY cardmaking for your Valentine this year!
Happy Stamping & Steeming!

Pretty cards. I especially love the tulips.
Thank you so much!
