CAPITAN SEVILLA - DINAMIC - SPECTRUM REVIEW
Capitan Sevilla is a platform game for the Spectrum, among other systems, published by Dinamic in 1988.
Mariano Lopez is a vulgar sausage transporter who is involved in a nuclear explosion while driving a truck loaded with blood sausages, leaving him unconscious on the road among the remains of his cargo.
When he wakes up disoriented and hungry, Mariano eats one of the sausages he was carrying and then begins to experience a unique metamorphosis, becoming the superhero Captain Seville and ready to destroy the malevolent Professor Torrebruno.
The cunning Torrebruno has built a plasma cannon on the planet Congrio to destroy Earth. Our protagonist must cross the city and find a rocket that will allow him to travel to the mad scientist's base.
In his human form Mariano is extremely vulnerable, but he can still punch and jump. He will need to eat some of the blood sausages scattered around the stage in order to transform.
As Captain Sevilla, we have a vitality bar that decreases as we receive damage or use our powers. If we lose all our energy, we will return to being human unless we get another blood sausage.
We have access to several superpowers: Gliding, Throwing Blood Sausages, Super Blowing, and Invincibility. Wisely used, they can get us out of tight spots in specific situations, despite the energy sacrifice that their use entails.
We will encounter a variety of enemies throughout our mission, some very tough, and others that we should avoid. Knowing how to use our superhero logic will also be essential to overcome certain obstacles.
