Cannabis users wait for the hope of one day going home.

We lived in a large house with neighbors only on one side, and far enough away that they didn't mind our target practice. There was a quaint shopping/entertainment center down the road where the kids enjoyed a simple life, arcade, put-put golf, rock walls, etc. An ideal little community complete with a Drive-in off Mayberry St.

So why did we leave? Why did we donate or sell all of our belongings to move into an RV in a place where it snows a lot? Why do we not live in a state where we have friends and family? Why do we work underpaid jobs for over priced rentals?

Answer: We are medical refugees

The state we lived in does not support medical Cannabis use.
The states our families live in, do not support medical Cannabis use.
The war on drugs is really a war on us.
We the people are being displaced and uprooted just to have access to a plant.

This plant has given me my husband back. The medications they had him on had completely robbed us of his soul and spirit. He was no longer there. He was an empty shell full of rage and fear, sadness and apathy. The medications made him that way. Cannabis does not. The pharmaceutical doctors told me we should look at wheelchair options for him.
We said no.

With Cannabis we have a life again together. But what kind of life is this? We're isolated. We cannot travel or we may go to prison for his medication?!?! He's sick and they would rather him be in jail then admit the plant has benefits. It's time to take a closer look at what the government is really saying by denying us this plant. They would rather we live as zombies or better yet, just die. They cannot make money off of us if we can all grow our own medicine. Until something changes, we will be here. Along with countless others who uprooted in hopes to live another day with their whole mind, body and spirit illegally healed.
