Many years ago I was arrested for small possesion of marijuana. I was a teenager. The police didn't care about my health, all they cared about was making the arrest and charging me. 2 hours later I was free again. A complete violation of my rights to self determination and a complete waste of valuable police ressources. The time those cops spent bringing me to the police station, questioning me etc. could have been better used to patrol the streets and to actually catch real criminals eg bank robbers, violent offenders etc.
How many real criminals get away while cops sit at the station dealing with this small drug possession stuff?
