Indoor Summer to Fall Light Changes. PLUS week 2 into Flowering B-52
I've always held a special place in my heart for the day I switch to 12/12. I love the blue light that is emitted from the MH bulbs to mimic the summer sun. But there is just something about the yellow/orange from the HPS that really gets me giddy for the upcoming 6-8 weeks.
I took this picture 13 days ago (4/20) the day I made the 12/12 switch. Pretty cool to see the differences between the two.
After a week of one MH and one HPS, I made the switch to both HPS.
They have really taken off (for indicas anyway) since then. Everyday I am rearranging their branches with the net to get the most light to all the tops. I've been more heavy handed this run as well in terms of trimming lower nodes that don't receive as much light, hopefully it pays off in the end with heavier tops.
I really enjoy growing this strain. It's not too difficult, imo, and it produces tasty buds that don't lock you down which you can't say for every indica. The only thing I hope for better at the end of this run would be density. I've seen my fair share of dense nugs before, but I haven't been able to reproduce that tightness I have seen. Not that they're super fluffy by any means, just not as tight as I would prefer. Oh well, I suppose time will tell.
If you have any suggestions to throw my way that might help me with the denseness, I am all ears.
Thanks for stopping by my page today, i would of never find your great content! Plants look great! The only thing maybe i can say for tightness is maybe just let the trichomes go to a 50/50 Amber to milkey white ratio? I still consider myself a newbie so it’s just a thought. Steem on man and nice to meet you ✌️
No problem man! Glad I found your page too!
I think I'm going to invest into a good magnifying glass to get up and close with the trichomes. I've always based it one the color of the hairs and the color of the leaves, and time. But I'm sure you're right, the 50/50 milky amber color is the best method.
Thanks for swinging by!
