What is @KushSmokers? The First Steemit Powered Cannabis Brand; Product Reviews, Store Walkthroughs & Cannabis News from industry insiders and curators.
1. KushSmokers is a Brand New Concept from @Decentralizd, and a few of his co-workers & friends in the cannabis space that aims to bring quality cannabis focused content to a Steemit-first platform that also services as an on-boarding highway for outside cannabis users via www.kushsmokers.com (still working on that part..).
We are all employed in the cannabis space, have extensive knowledge of cannabis, connections in the industry all which we will leverage to bring the most attention to the #KushSmokers project. The goal is not only to create a wonderful cannabis brand but also build it solely around Steemit, like many future brands will be built. We just want to provide them a path to follow and kickstart the movement a little bit. We have some very exciting plans which we won't announce yet but the goal will be massive marketing push outside of Steemit into not only the cannabis industry, but into the eyeballs of the customers and fans as well.
We hope to show everyone that you can be successful without having your own grow operation, store, or whatever else. All it takes is a good idea, some grit, and a good supporting cast. We hope to bring a professional air to the cannabis space and help turn this project into a movement for good of all types.
2. The @KushSmokers content will mainly focus on Product Reviews of recreational and medical cannabis in various legal states as well as shop walkthroughs and general news.
Currently KushSmokers is comprised of myself (@Deentralizd) and a friend who is still waiting for his account to be approved. I am also talking with 3 other co-workers/friends of mine to have them be involved as well, but terms need to be sorted, expectations set and so on, so for now it's just a great idea, with mountains of room for growth.
The concept behind @KushSmokers is to bring Cannabis Reviews, Store Reviews, Grow Operation Walkthroughs, Cannabis News & create a following that can be leveraged for the good of the cannabis movement for not only political means but others as well. We are a medical first movement, but welcome recreational as a stepping stone to allowing people to use this wonderful plant freely.
3. This will be not only a tool to market Steemit.com, but push the legalization movement into the future by creating a welcoming atmosphere of content for anyone, not just us hardcore 'potheads' within the walls of the Steem blockchain.
As the content gets traction, it won't just be content written for Steemit.com, the main concept here is that we will be showing regular folks who are already reading similar content around the web, the concept of Steemit and how we are earning money doing this. Not only will this peak the interest of many cannabis brands but it will also give us significant opportunities to get Steemit out there to even more people when we fund articles about what we are doing with our partners, friends & associates.
The website will be another huge part of this project, the goal there is to create content on Steemit, which is automagically published to kushsmokers.com soon after and is then pushed to the wider audience, who wouldn't wanna check out something on www.kushsmokers.com after all? It's such a good domain name! We aim to cover all subject matters related to cannabis in order to bring in the widest possible audience to Steemit.
4. We hope to build a massive cannabis following within Steemit, so that when important votes come to vote or events happen around the world we can be the go to resource for cannabis news on Steemit as well as product information or shop recommendations!
One huge bonus that is added when building a following on Steemit.com, is that it is permanent, imagine if all the supporters of cannabis legalization had a single account to get news from, one that they could support with votes, in turn the money is donated to the cause they are voting for, that sounds like one very, very powerful political tool to me and a huge asset for legalization around the world!
5. We hope this will show all the cannabis media, publishing and social media companies out there that Steem is the future of social and it's high time to switch over!
After gaining some traction and a bit of success, phase 2 is to sort of gloat about this to our competitors and bring them on board, so they too can bring more and more cannabis enthusiasts into Steemit. Hell why not just get #Cannabis & #Marijuana into the top 5 hashtags again? I miss those days...
Beyond the gloating plans, We have many contacts within the cannabis industry and plan on attending many cannabis events in the future, where we could very easily promote the brand, and Steemit with more and more marketing as we grow. Even if I didn't work with dispensaries on their marketing (including product write-ups and blog posts), this would be something I would support.

We'll maybe we can work on stuff together! I don't like driving all the way to tacoma and I plan on having 3rd party content writers that get the rewards from posts paid to their personal accounts after. This is more of a way to bring awareness to good cannabis authors than it is a profit venture, all while creating a solid brand name.
The only local people I work with are dispensaries (I Uber to them to pick up product to write about), otherwise most of my work is done remotely. So, there's no need for you to drive!

Count me in. I am in the LA area and would love to contribute. Originally from Snohomish WA, I have Grown professionally for over 10 years and am interested in starting a permaculture based outdoor operation.
I will focus on high CBD strains for extraction and other plant based anti-inflammatory aides.
I am considering buying a few acres around lake Hughes CA and documenting the set-up, legal structure and practical execution.
As we transition in CA to recreational use the laws and regulation will be tough to navigate but provide ample opportunity for the right people.
Right now I can not think of two better spaces to occupy than crypto and cannabis. they will both explode in the next few years and I will be part of both.
