 What a menace it is to live with a broken piece! Or are you looking for a new one just because? It’s difficult to get bored with your marijuana bong if you have owned one for too long or if your piece calls for intensive cleaning all the time. In any case, which ardent smoker ever needs a bad excuse to get their hands on a good bong. With the array of choices available (from glass to plastic to ceramic to wooden), choosing the right piece for you in your right mind can seem a little daunting. Anyway, the right mind is not always a place where a smoker dwells, so it goes without saying that you could use some help to get to the bong that will be perfect for you.  

Here are 3 important things that you can keep in mind next time you go shopping for your smoking accessories.  

What purpose will the bong cater to? – No, we are not stoned right now! We know it sounds little funny for we obviously know what purpose the bong will be used for. But here we are referring to the environment that your bong will find itself in for most of the time. For instance, how often will you be using the bong? One, twice, thrice a week or more? Will you use it exclusively or as a pass-around while chilling with friends? Will it accompany you on road trips or simply sit quietly at home? And, most importantly how often (let’s just be honest with our lazy selves here please) do you plan to clean it? Once you have the answer to these questions, you are one step closer to purchasing the right bong for you.  

Is it your first bong- Taking a drag from a friend’s joint can pretty much get you the high you crave. But owing a bong for yourself is a different type of commitment for a stoner. It is a moment of pride especially if you are out there to buy your first bong ever. The first thing you would want to consider is your lung capacity. Bigger isn’t always the better, and the same is true of bongs. If you are not filling the chamber of your piece with smoke, you are not putting your piece to the best use. But let’s say you do fill it to the chamber but cannot clear it in one high, you get fresh smoke and an undesirable, stale second hit.  

Should you get a technical bong? – So, technical bongs are expensive. They are aesthetically appealing but they also run the risk of breaking easily. You know that you don’t really need one. But should aspire, you also know that the THC absorptions and the cool, clean hits are what make them worth it. But, technical bongs call for extra caution, and it’s best to own one if you are going to use it alone and store it well.
