Interesting story. Although I am betting that some guerrilla growers in the west country are seething after reading this - hiding them among stinging nettles seems like a guerrilla tactic!
Although I guess it is natural that some spread would happen anyway, and if this fluke had been followed by the wind carrying pollen from an unwanted male somewhere and boom you have a potential wild plantation :-)
