Welcome to my Strain Review of Cannatonic

Bred by Resin Seeds out of Spain by crossing an MK Ultra mother and a G13 Haze male, they proclaim this strain as the initiator of the CBD movement as well as one of the most complex and valuable medical cannabis strain in existence. Cannatonic was unveiled at Spannabis 2008 where it had astonishingly high CBD values, at the same time the effects of CBD we're being praised around the world as a miracle from nature. They attribute the strain to helping countless people recover from illness and injury and have used it to create even more CBD strains like Diesel Tonic and Hammer Shark.

This one was $8 per gram from the Green Rhino out of Vancouver, BC.

THC on this strain has a large range from 6-15% and CBD can also vary greatly from 6-17%. This one indicated it's a 20:1 CBD:THC ratio, which I'm not sure how that is possible with the above percentages but yeah. It seems to be hit or miss if you're growing from seed with the wide range of variance.

The appearance was leafy and a bit of a darker green with plenty of trichome coverage. Not too dry and defiantly sticky.

The smell in the container is a woodsy/piney mixed in with a bit of an earthy smell. Once busted it gives off a sour pungent smell mixed in with the previously mentioned aromas.

The taste from the vape is a sweet woodsy/piney type taste with a bit of floral mixed in.

The effects are not very psychoactive in this strain especially with the 20:1 ratio, I did not feel "high" at all really, but there was a nice sense of relaxation and calmness. I had no burn out or tiredness either from this strain which is good for anyone looking to get that CBD with little to no impairment and drowsiness.
