Canada's 150th Birthday Is Nothing But A Statist SHAM! - Don't Fall For It!
On this, Canada's 150th birthday, social justice warriors have temper tantrums begging the government for more extortion, all while the Canadian "patriots" make love to a piece of cloth with a maple leaf on it as if being Canadian is something to be proud of.
Both are enamoured by the glassy eyed cultist religion of statism. Both sides bow down to a collectivist order without a second thought about individualism.
Freedom isn't being able to watch Netflix and wave a flag. It's about having absolute say over your person. To walk freely without regulative control, or monetary robbery. For aggression to only be used in defense of life, liberty and property. To be born into a world without being plunged into a contract you never signed.
I am not proud to be part of some communistic social contract collective. I'm proud to be an individual standing on whatever piece of land I'm currently standing on.
Canada doesn't exist.
Only the belief perpetrated by a coercive state, scheming with sweaty palms, depending on their pawns to revere their chains.
Be proud of what you've done. Be proud of what other individuals have done, even if part of a voluntary collective. Don't find pride in an enforced collective put at gunpoint by your perpetuated statist views.
If you want to be free, I ask that you start acting like it. Freedom is intrinsic. It comes from within. Not from government.

Love the post - my sentiments exactly - today at our celebrations here in Boissevain they have a parade of flags from people who now make this area their home, my wife and daughters will be carrying the Russian flag in this parade at 6 PM today -I'm not only up voting this but I'm resteeming it too ))

Canada is one of the least free countries in the world. Try to cut down a tree on your own property without a government permit. Try to build a deck in your backyard without a permit.
Big year this year. This year we should also be celebrating the 100th anniversary of being extorted by this "free" country...... I mean, paying the war tax........I mean, income tax. That's what I'll be celebrating today, in a sarcastic sort of way.

Once, when I was a kid, I got roasted for shoplifting and was required to write a letter of apology to the queen. In my apology I managed to site a fair bit of her crimes throughout in very clever ways that pointed them out blatantly but glorifyied her regardless. The officer assigned to proof my letter cracked a smile when he finished, and then had me do a painting on canvas for the community center instead. :P

Growing up I never cared about our history really. Now I soak it in. In the spring a few months ago I went to Williamsburg VA US. This fall we are going to Quebec city CA. And learn about the seven year war for one that I will be looking forward to hearing about.
Quebec City is an amazing place to visit for history buffs like us! I'm sure you'll have a great time there! They were built for the War of 1812, not the Seven Years' War, but if you like military history make sure to go inside one of the Martello Towers in The Battlefields Park. Another significant historic landmark: the Cross of Malta carved in a stone inside the Château Frontenac's courtyard.
Wish I went to Williamsburg too. Maybe one day. I also suggest seeing Ottawa in Canada. It's another one of those city with a good historic feel.
