💰Legal owner of about 6.6 billion acres of land The Queen is clearly the richest person in the World claiming ownership to 1/6 of all land!
Here in my Canadian Province of British Columbia, 94% of the land is provincial Crown Land. Federal Crown Land make up a further 1% of the province, including Indian reserves, defense lands and federal harbors.
Only 5% is privately owned. Less than 11% of Canada's land is in private hands; 41% is federal crown land and 48% is provincial crown land.
No wonder we are having a land/housing crisis in many areas. Almost the whole country is foreign owned and only available to use by an application.
And there are other avenues to be granted permission to use Crown land which I shall be inspecting and possibly blogging about.
Crown land is no longer actively marketed, rented or sold for private recreational or residential use. Guess the Queen has use for it all?
