RE: The Great Canadian Flag Debate
Speaking of Rebellion in Australia, I had a Pinot Noir, from Downunder, called 19 crimes.
no idea what that has to do with anything other than, hey, it was cheap, like our friends, and a good couple bottles for dinner at our neighbors, last night.
The Aussies and the Kiwis come up with some creative names for their wines. First introduced to that when I read a review of one called Cat's Pee on a Mulberry bush. It was a very good wine and didn't taste at all like Cat's Pee... well what I think it would taste like. Another was the Cat's Paw.
When someone recommended Fat Bastard to me as a wine I might enjoy, I immediately thought it would be either Aussie or Kiwi.... was surprised to discover it is a French wine.
So many vineyards downunder that the owners are naming wines after all sorts of things, such as how many crimes they have committed, how many times they've done things in public places and so on.
I think Australia is one of the few places on this earth that can't produce enough booze for its own nation.
Remember reading something about that once upon a time, maybe that has changed with the times though, who knows.
with the amount we drink in the states?
Clearly the States do not produce enough to last!!!
