Galveston and Bolivar peninsula

I'm wrapping up a great trip in southern Texas and wanted to share a few photos from the trip. We needed to escape the cold weather in Oklahoma and got it on the gulf coast.

We camped out at a fishing area east of Galveston. Parking was only $5 for an annual pass and there were Porta potties and trash receptacles nearby. The tide almost came up to the camper the first night so we had to move.

The fishing was bad and also the mosquitoes finally chased me away. Once a few get in the camper they love to bite me. We found some national forestry land north of Houston where we are currently staying until tomorrow morning. Hope you guys get some warm weather where you are soon! It was up to 78 here today at the warmest.
