RE: First Post of 2019 - the Chickens are after me @c0ff33a

Lovely chickens, they taste great with just free ranging @c0ff33a
I saw this farmer on youtube with a huge chicken coop and he lets them out on a field after the cows had eaten the grass so that they can eat the bugs from the cow poop and other things in the grazed field.

Then he just rotates the cows and the chickens like a good food cycle using up the land efficiently.

All natural happy chickens are always going to taste better, these are kept for eggs mainly and provide a good regular supply. It's quite funny because the nests of the chickens have golf balls in - apparently it helps encourage them to lay more eggs!

Sustainable farming has many benefits, and often is not any more costly because the improved product it creates can gain a higher price.

Ah that golf ball technique is awesome and brilliant LOL.
I remember when my brother was raising some pigeons, we kept taking eggs on one and it keeps on laying until we stopped and when it laid two it stopped laying and then it started to sit to brood the two eggs.
