Why is it that things in black and white seem so much more epic then their colored variation ?
Why indeed?
Totally different outlook and mood. A good black and white never looks like it is mass produced. It's always fresh.
Putting it in a simple way:
Color:
Color catch the eye. In some good ones, just stand up in a blink.
Different colors are giving different emotions to people and their reaction maybe different or the same, but always stand up (if is a good photography - not overkilled with HDR and other million disgusting effects who "kills" the subject and mood of a good photography :-) ).
They can also show a moment from a season.
In the big movie industry they can show a specific time in our tiny life, a specific cinematic era.
Black and white:
Usually black and white (lack of colors) accentuate the light and shadows. Also accentuate the subject, which is the most important thing in a photo.
It can be taken by a good fotographer or by a simple person with a phone, that doesn't matter to a good photo.
Practically black and white, remove the "noise" and take our eye directly to the subject.
I saw some of my clients ask me why i took 70% in black and white and not color. I meet them and showed some differences. Some photo's can be so boring in one way and can bring them to life changing other way (that only if u shoot raw... but this is other subject).
When they saw the differences they smiled :-). I don't do that things often, but it is so much fun if you do things like that from time to time to get out of monotony.

I will try to make time to write about tech stuff (as i said above, to photography i can't speak too much in words, maybe only if i have that mood... but nowadays rarely) and come back to people like you or maybe a group to write about whatever we see fun or interesting in our lives :-)
I'm not in social media too much, it is just wasting time for lot of people who do nothing except staying on a screen :-) and at the end of a day they realised... nothing. No offence please.
Maybe here i will find a way in.
