Reasons to love the summer

I grew up in a small country town. If you didn't play sports or worked on a farm or greenhouse you were bored during the summer. I worked in the mucm field farms. It was an organic vegetable farm. We grew all different types of fresh lettuce and my absolute favorite was buttered. Its a very delicate lettuce, soft but the taste is unreal. Like nothing you have tasted. The farmer I worked with used all organic fertilizers so you knew it was fresh and extra healthy. Still to this day I go to market and see him on saturdays and get my butterhead.
