Myths in short: The Birth of Aphrodite

'Aphros' means foam in Greek. So, Cronus didn't want his Father (Uranus) to have any more kids, so he takes a sickle and cuts his dad's genitals off and throws them in the sea (as you do). Foam gathered around his bits and Aphrodite was born of the foam.
