Jeff Bezos, who is now the richest man in the world, is donating $33 million in funding to help DREAMERS go to college.

Bezos teamed with TheDream.Us, a program that works with 74 colleges and universities, across the country, to help immigrants get students the tuition regardless of their immigration status.

For Bezos, it’s personal, "My dad came to the U.S. when he was 16 as part of Operation Pedro Ban," he said. “He landed in this country alone and unable to speak English. With a lot of grit and determination – and the help of some remarkable organizations in Delaware – my dad became an outstanding citizen, and he continues to give back to the country that he feels blessed him in so many ways.”

The grant is the biggest the organization has ever received, and will give about 1,000 undocumented immigrants, with DACA status, an awesome education and chance at thriving. DREAMERS who work with the program receive $33,000 in scholarship aid, spanned out over the course of four years. Currently, they’ve got about 2,850 students enrolled.
