Do you remember those moments in life when it seems that all that you can see in your future is one big immovable mountain? Have you ever felt surrounded by walls and there was no way to pull through?

Have you ever felt like there was an ocean in front of you and behind you an army of your Egyptian past racing towards you to consume you?

I have.

There were many times I felt I should just give in and go home. Literally.

I remember telling my course mate one day that this is probably the hardest time of my life, the hardest challenge I'll ever face. I can't even remember exactly what the challenge was today because it is of no consequence but it felt like the most difficult time of my life. My coursemate replied by saying: "Your best days are ahead of you and your greatest challenges are also ahead"

God moved mountains for me. He caused walls to fall. God made the impossible possible for my sake. God made a way for me. He likes doing like that. I don't know how He does it.

This morning my mind just flashed back to those impossible moments in my life when I couldn't have done it by my power. Moments when I felt helpless and needy. It was God. He helped me. He made a way for me.

  • When my little sister was hit by a stray bullet.
  • When I found myself in a strange land and I needed a job although I had no one to turn to.
  • When my father died and there was no money in the house to do anything.
  • When I had no money to eat in school.
  • When I didn't have enough money to pay the acceptance fee for my master's degree and I didn't know how to go about it.
  • That night I should have died. I should have been hit by a trailer but God made a way.

Thinking about all these things and many other things I cannot write here gives me the confidence that I can run through a through a troop and I can leap over a wall. I can do impossible things but it's not by my power. It's because of the mercies of God.

You should begin every morning with a prayer of thanksgiving. Let your mind wander to those things God did for you. Start your day with gratitude.

This morning I woke with the memories of those "made-a-way" moments in my life and I became filled with so much gratefulness.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.
Philippians 1:3

I turned on my laptop and played this beautiful song by Travis Greene titled Made a Way. I put it on repeat. After playing for awhile, I decided to save my data and play it on my laptop. I couldn't find the song on my laptop. I have no Travis Greene songs. How is that even possible?
When I searched for made a way on my laptop I discovered another song with the same title by Kenneth Mosley. It's very funky. I have included a video of Travis Greene "Made a Way" below.

What is Gratitude Day

Every day is gratitude day.
@tojukaka

Gratitudeday is all about being thankful for the things that are happening in your life. A lot of us go through life taking things for granted. The goal is to challenge you to make a blog post about something you are grateful for. It could be big or small. It doesn't matter. Little things matter. I'll be doing this for 62 days (62 is not a random number). It's not an endurance game, you can join in anytime you want and opt out anytime you want.

How to Participate in #GratitudeDay Challenge

Upvote my #gratitudeday post
Resteem my #gratitudeday post(not compulsory)

Use the tag #gratitudeday14

This is what I will do in return.

I'll upvote your post
I'll note your name in my spreadsheet, that you qualify for the grand prize of 62SBD. The grand prize is now unknown.

Thank you very much.

We do have a lot to be grateful for, though we tend to forget that when life’s troubles and worries show up to our doors. This post is a reminder and a testimony at the same time.

What's a success story without having trial stories to make it all better. I thank God for your life. The best is yet to come!

Thank you Sir for the gratitude series. My entry is not on your list.

God always makes a way for us. It is amazing how He comes around for us.

God always does make a way.

I think we've all had such moments when only good could have come true for us. And He did. He always do.

And the funny part if there is always more than one time that He came true for us. Oh I remember, time and over again, He was the difference for me.

In deed, we are grateful.

Shouldn't today's tag be #gratitudeday14?

@tojukaka He is indeed the very present help in times of need. He is the God who is not only present in our present but present in our past, present and future. HE's got them all figured out at the same time, and promises us an expected end that shiny and bright.
