Since Steemit Inc has most likely quit, I propose a new concept.
I know you and I don't have the programming skills to make changes, but there are some out there that can.
Here is the concept.
- Have the witnesses create a list of To-Do assignments to make improvements to the STEEM blockchain. Each one well defined and broken into small manageable tasks.
- Publically review the tasks for acceptance and approval.
- Allow individuals to code the change
- Test net new changes prior to release
- Top witnesses accept or reject changes by accepting or rejecting witness node software updates.
All very good ideas and worth a shot. I think the witnesses have to be more selective with the code the accept and that it would be of benefit if other code was submitted to them by people other than Steemit.
