A case has been lodged against the ongoing movement of the student's standing committee member Ameer Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury after an audio-viral allegation of sabotage planning.
Acting general secretary Zakaria Dastagir filed the case with the city's Kotwali Police Station around 11pm on Saturday (August 4).
Kotwali police station Deputy Inspector Sanjay Pal confirmed the information. In the case, two separate cases were filed against Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury.
Sanjay Pal told the Bangla Tribune, "The city's acting secretary general of the BCL filed the case with Zakaria Dastagir. Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and his associates were accused in the case. The case is filed against the accused under the Information Technology Act (57) and the Special Powers Act (15).
Earlier, on Saturday afternoon, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was an audio-viral by social media. He spoke with a person named Naomi. Ameer Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury in the audio directs to Naomi for the movement of students in Dhaka.
