If one can get to the nth degree of love and compassion that Jesus did. Since most of us tend to be on the opposite end of the spectrum, reared in hatred and fear, it is beyond our reach. Over time, it is more likely people will slide the scale in the other direction.
Of course, on a simple level, we can see how fear negatively affects our body physically and reducing stress within oneself does have the power to heal.
So leave it alone, and help with a real things:)
